FAQ

Can I apply for an internship at OndAzul?

The first step is to send us your CV. In order to become an intern you must be currently enrolled in a University, preferably on your third year of study. We normally hire our interns for specific Projects, according to the Project's requirements and development and for a maximum period of 18 months. It is a very well planned activity – the work plan has a beginning, middle and end. Most of the time we use companies or specialized institutions to look for interns. We provide them with a candidate profile to help us in our selection and interview process. These companies and institutions are responsible for processing the intern's employment documentation such as insurance and registration, as well as administering the recruitment process. We occasionally recommend some prospective candidates from our database formed by people like you, who contact us directly.

Can I become a volunteer with the OndAzul Foundation?

We currently do not have a policy on volunteeering. Volunteering relations have mostly been brief and non-systematic. We are looking to develop a specific volunteering policy. It is with this aim that we have recently initiated an experience with 50 young adults – volunteers in the Project for the RECOVERY AND PRESERVATION OF MANGROVES IN THE BAY OF GUANABARA – in partnership with the Department of Social Action – Mayor of Magé. We are also forming a partnership with the NGO Ikoporan in order to start offering volunteering opportunities for foreigners.

Does the Foundation consider external projects? How can I present my project?

We do. There is no formal way to present your project to OndAzul. You can send us your Project and we will assess its suitability to our aims and how we can fit it into our programme.

If there is an interest on our part, you will be invited to attend a meeting where we can define the bases for a partnership. Depending on the nature of the Project, on the interests of sponsors and your own, you might receive financial support for the development or even the coordination of the project.

Does the Foundation sponsor projects?

Not directly, but we give projects institutional support. However, we might start sponsoring projects in the future.

How can I work for OndAzul?

You can send your CV and if an opportunity arises we may contact you for an interview. We have previously hired professionals who sent their CVs this way.

Can I visit OndAzul's projects?

Yes. You will need to book a visit by sending an email to the project's coordinator. You can check the project's details and team on the “Who we are” page.

Does the Foundation provide financial support to congresses and seminars?

No.
